I bought the breathable bumper but it is so ugly and doesn't look right. I am not sure I am going to keep it. I was thinking about just taking them back or using a regular one.

I've never used a bumper at all and it's never been a problem. I think each of them got a leg stuck once and cried, but they never did it again after that.

We use the breathable ones. Also good at keeping binks in the crib.

After being on bedrest for 10 weeks due to TTTS and hospital bedrest for 4 weeks due to PPROM, my sticky babies are here! Born at 32 weeks!!
I put the breathable bumpers up the day after they got a leg stuck. I was up enough and didn't need another reason for them to wake. Honestly, I don't care one bit how it looks if it keep them safe and asleep.

we have the sage green breathable bumpers from bru.
they look really good with all our decor in the nursery. i don't mind them at all, i mean i hate that we spent and our parents spent alot on the bedding but we do plan to use it again eventually but for now its not even a little worth it.
we continue to find our dd's heads up against the bumpers every night which makes me so grateful we have the breathable ones. too too risky otherwise. i personally think you need some type of bumper b/c otherwise my girls would be banging their heads on the slats every night.
Re: Crib Bumpers- Use them, breathable bumper or none?
I'd skip the "real" bumper. They're a SIDS risk (isn't everything?), and they make it a huge PITA to change the sheets.
We use breathable bumpers because I'd rather something look ugly but be functional than have to remove a baby from the slats every night.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Good Point!
