CD Moms - Q's for you

I'm all about the posts this morning :-)

I've been thinking about trying CDs but am kinda intimidated by everything. Can you recommend a good diaper or two to get started that isn't expensive and is easy to use? The Babysteals archives has a two pack of CuteyBaby for $26.99 that I'm thinking about trying.

    I think the best thing to do is get a trail from jillian's drawers.  There is a deposit required and they send you several different kinds to try and you send back what you don't like and then can add to your stash from there.  Cloth diapers are like cars...everyone has a different experience with different kinds so its important to try several out to determine what works best for you.  Good Luck!

    Thanks! I'm going to try it. Wish me luck! I'm excited to try it out. I already have a lot of disposables stacked up in her closet but I would like to at least try out a combo of cloth at home and maybe disposables while we're out or she's at daycare.

    We use disposables after vaccinations (roto-virus) and a few other random occasions but I really do prefer the cloth.  Plus, the fluffy, puffy butt is too cute!

    If you do the trial at Jillian's Drawers I'd also recommend getting the detergent sampler.  That way you can see which detergent you like, too. The detergent sampler lasts a long time, especially if you have a high efficiency machine.

    I second the Jillian's Drawers recommendation, but if you wanted to try an easy/cheap pocket diaper, I'd try a Kawaii.  They're very similar to Fuzzibunz, but they are waaaay cheaper.  Also, consider buying used...check out the CD board or head over to Spots Corner at hyenacart.com.  HTH.

    I hope you like the trial. I wish we had done that to start out, but I bought most of my try out diapers i have bought used and if I like them great and I buy more, if I dont then I plan to resell.
