What are they and do they have a meaning behind them?

Boy - We already had our boy name picked out during our first pregnancy. It was either going to be Curtis Jacob, or Jacob Curtis. I'm currently really leaning toward Curtis Jacob, with a nickname of Curt (like Kurt).

Curtis is my fathers middle name. DH wanted Robert as a middle name, because that is his middle name. I however, hate the name Robert. DHs name is Jason, and his whole family calls him "Jake". So I asked about Jacob, and he loved it.

Girl - I just shared my story below. But we are shooting around the name Talia right now. Middle name is still questionable. We have some asking permission and discussions still... but um. We have a lot of time. But Talia is the princess name in the original "Sleeping Beauty". If you read the story, you can see why it was retold and changed into the Princess Aurora version we all know today.

Laura Kate. No real meaning behind it other than my mother's name is Laura and my first name is Laura so I wanted to carry the name down...plus I really love it. And she won't be called just by her first name she will be called by both....

We picked out John David for a boy. David is another family name and since we are big on the whole double name we liked John with it.

If we have two boys we even have his name picked out...Cullen Michael. But no "double name for that one.

Liam Ryan & Emma June Dh wants our children to have strong "english" (or irish) names bc he's British. Emma June isnt official but it's 95%. We had the girl name since last pregnancy. Emma is very common and makes me think of old English literature. We picked June bc it is based around our "Johnny and June" lo e story. We picked Liam one day comig out of a follow up appointment with Ob. It was one of the few moments we aloud ourselves to dream and be excited about another baby. It popped into my head and Dh loved it. Ryan is Dh's name. We want to keep a family name. Logan's middle name was Lewis after Dh brother ( and dh middle name) so this time we'll use dh first name.

I have a running list, and DH and I had just started talking about names a few days before we found out we lost the baby. Since then we haven't really gone back to the subject. I sometimes still dream and wonder, but I think it's still too soon for him. Which I understand.

Audrey Grace for a girl and Myles Warren for a boy. They are family names and the only two names DH and I agree on. We started talking about it before I even got pg because DH was afraid the pg hormones would make me irrational when the time came.

Yes, we have a couple.

Boy- Aidan or Elijah. Aidan has been my favorite boy name for years. I know it is really popular now, though. The middle name will be Harley- named after Jon's grandfather.

Girl- I have a few. Claire and Ava are two of my favorites. I don't have a middle name picked out. Ella's middle name, Christine, was my granny's middle name.

We have made a list of ours (a couple for each gender), and in what order we want to use them. It was actually quick and easy because we both wanted to use family names, so we had them picked out when first started to prep for ttc. I'm not going to post them here because we promised that would be the one thing we kept just between the two of us until the day they're born (and we know someone on tb irl - she's not on ttcal though). Cashews - I love the story of Aurora's name, and love your idea of using Talia.

Girl: Sophia Loretta- We are Italian so it works. We love the name Sophia but DH was a little skeptical cause he didnt want people to think of Teen Mom (we tested out the name with people and no one connected it lol). And as for Loretta, DH loves old fashioned names and this happens to be one I like.

Boy: (Ok bear with me here...) Donatello Vicenzo. Holy Italian I know... here's the explaination-- I am sure depending on your age, you went right to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lol- yes this is where DH got it from. I keep telling myself there was the artist too lol. I have been against it, but he wants a boy SO bad, and since we have now had 2 losses, if we have a boy I am going to agree (he doesn't know it). I dont care about the reference anymore, it seems like such a petty thing in comparison to trying to have a baby. Vicenzo is my grandfather's name so its meaningful to me and DH likes it. Dante is the backup first name if DH seriously changes his mind.

I have 2 girl names, Alexis Faith and Aaliyah Grace. If it's a boy his name will be Elijah King. I wanted my son's name to come from the Bible. There's no special meaning for the girl names, I just love the names.

DH and I have gone round and round on names. He really wants a junior...Robert Vincent. I don't. I think children should have their individual identities. I do like to use family names, just not exactly as they were used for the original owner of the name. I like the names Myles Edward (mine and DH's fathers middle names), and Desmond Robert ( Desmond was my maternal grandmother's middle name, and Robert for DH). For girls we like Mary (unsure of middle name for that), and Lillian Patricia ( Patricia was DH's mothers name) But we are still under negotiations. I guess we still have plenty of time.

Girl - Haley Marie or Kathryn Nicole. I've liked Haley for a while now and Marie has been in the family for a little while so it works. Our first choice is Haley though.

Boy - Not too sure yet. DH wanted Michael (after his dad) so I thought we should put my Dad's name in there too. Which would make it Michael Francis. But... since his dad's name is Michael and my brother's name is Michael, that was just a few too many Michael's. So we have to choose a new one. I think we have a little while yet though.

We don't have any specifics. We would like to use family names, especially for boys (DH's middle name is the same as his dad's middle, his brother's middle is his dad's first, etc.). My middle name is the same as my mom's and grandma's.

We both have trouble coming up with boy names we like. For a girl, DH has wanted to name his daughter Gwendolyn (Gwen) since he was a kid. My favorite girl name is Brianna.

Boy - Gabriel Urijah.. No real meaning behind it, just liked the way it sounds and the meaning behind it (it means God is my Strength) and while we aren't particularly religious we do believe in a high power.

Girl - Rowan (DH likes the spelling Rowyn, haven't decided yet) Ariella - I first heard the name Rowan for a girl on the movie "The Wickerman" when I was about 15. I loved the sound of it and decided I'd like to use that name one day for a girl (plus it means little red tree, and chances are we will have a red head cause it's a dominant gene on DH's side). Ariella means Lion of God. Right after our loss the song "Little Lion Man" By Mumford and Sons came out and DH use to sing it to me and make me laugh. When I found this name I knew it was perfect.. I looked for a "lion" name for a boy but couldn't find one we liked. But we knew that if we have a girl one day she will be out little Lion Woman.

I really want Rose for a middle name after my Grandma Rosemary. Not sure on first name. I like Sophia, Sydney, Lydia and many others.

For a boy I like Carter which was my Grandma's maiden name.

DH is trying to say that if it's a boy he gets to pick and if a girl I get to pick. I don't think I'll agree to that one.

Nope.

DH wants a son to be named after him to keep the family name going. I told him I'm ok with honoring fathers but we need to honor mine too. So we'll see.

I have always liked the name Mariah Rose for some reason, and Madison and Madeline come to mind too.

We haven't talked about it enough though to have anything concrete.

We haven't picked anything out and when we do talk about it we both have different opinions... I have a feeling name picking out is going to be tough for us. But for me... I like Miles and Liam for a boy, and Arianna, Olivia, and Evelyn for girls names. Dhs names are too embarrassing to share.

DH and I have talked names since we started ttc. We know for sure we want our boy name to be his grandfathers name who passed away and he was close with. His name was Coy. And for our girl name I liked Madison and liked the middle name rose. So a girl possibility is Madison Rose. We are going to keep the boy name to ourselves till we have a boy and when he is born and suprise my MIL.

We have middle names picked out, our first choice boy and girl names we used. But if we have another girl her middle name will be Holly after my mil who died when dh was a teenager. For a boy we will use Phillip as a middle name in honor of my fil.

Well, I sort of have names picked out, but only in my head. I haven't told anyone, not even my DH. With our first BFP, we decided to wait until our first u/s to talk about names. Since that didn't happen, the conversation never came up. I'm looking forward to being able to share my names out loud and seeing if DH likes any of them. FX!

Nothing decided yet! Boy name - Harrison Ross which is my maiden name and DH's grandfather is the middle but I think Harrison Ross Griner sounds kind of like a law firm. LOL! Girl name- that would be hard because I used up a major one for my DD (Carolyn Elise). My moms middle name was Carolyn and that is what she went by. I have thought about Mary Claire which would also be a tribute to my mom with her first name and the county she was born in. Anna is a good solid old-fashioned name too so maybe Anna Claire

I have an entire list of about ten for both a boy and girl, but I won't list them all. My top 2 for a girl I like Elleana (Elle) Eve and Lillian (Lily) Eve. DH wants Eve as a first name, but I like it better as a middle. For a boy we go around and around but we can agree on Elijah (Eli) Harrison. My DH is a 4th, but we agreed there will NOT be a 5th (I don't care what my FIL says.), but I would continue the middle name.
