Dry Scalp on Baby

Marino's scalp is dry and flaky (and he is losing hair). Should I just put lotion on his head?

    i am noticing same thing with DS.. i was going to mention it to the pedi at his 4month appt on friday

    My DS had the same thing and my pedi said it was cradle cap.  She said to use baby oil and massage that into his scalp, let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then shampoo it out. We had to do it a few times, but it looks much better.

    It's probably cradle cap. DS had it pretty bad.

    We use medicated shampoo, use the soft brush and gently scrub it while bathing him. That's all we do now. And yes, you can put lotion on his head/hair. It would probably help. ?

    Our pedi said to use baby oil on it.  I bought the creamy baby oil so it's not as greasy.

    we used olive oil on her scalp and then washed her hair and brushed it and it was better...i don't like the baby oil idea just because most baby oils are made with mineral oil. a petroleum by-product
