I found out in November that I have a simple ovarian cyst. My doctor had me come in for a follow up this past week and we found out it had grown by 20%. He wanted to follow up on it again in three months. When I told him I was moving and wouldn't be able to come in he gave me my options. I could continue to monitor it and hope it wouldn't bother me, follow up with a doctor in Australia, or have it removed so I wouldn't have to worry. After talking with him it was decided I would have laproscopic surgery to remove it this coming Wednesday. I'm not too worried about the cyst. My mom had the same thing when I was growing up and had them removed too. I'm more worried about the recovery and taking care of Leah. The doctor said I should have a little pain but be able to function by the time I leave the surgery center.
When I told DH about it he sounded a little worried. He's still working up north and offered to take time off. I told him I'd be fine and my mom would be around to help out if needed.
Here's the FFFC part...I don't want DH to be here when I'm not feeling well...I want my mom instead. While I love having him home, when I'm not feeling well it's easier if he's not here. DH won't be able to put Leah down for her nap, he won't know what to feed her, he won't know what to make for meals. I'll have to give him too many directions. He tries his best but since he's not home most of the week he doesn't know Leah's routine. My mom knows Leah's routine and she know how to help out with out guidance.
When DH gets home Friday I'll love having him back. On Wednesday though, I just want my mom.
Re: T&P's please and my first FFFC
Awww!
I understand completely! Moms are awesome.
Good luck with your cyst!
Good luck on Wednesday. As for the rest? I LOVE it! I hope these are Ada's thoughts about me one day.
I'm so sorry! That's rough. Is there anyway you could relay that to your H? In a nice way of course.
And lots of luck with your surgery!

Thanks everyone!
DH knows he can't take care of Leah when it comes to food and naps and bed. He's just not around enough to know what it takes. He'll get better at it when we move and he's home more often.
He's really good with watching her and playing. And he's great at all the housework. He'll cook too if I just tell him what to cook and where the recipie is. He's a great help when he's home. I'll just be able to rest a bit more with just mom around. Like you've all said, nothing like having mom.

not flameful at all. i'd rather have my mom around to because she knows what to do without asking plus she cleans like i clean. so its win win. dh however would need step by step instruction and still wouldn't do it "right" aka my way
as far as the surgery. i've had it. I had a cyst the size of a golf ball removed on my rt ovary. they actually thought it was my appendix causing all the problems. so i got both a cyst taken out and my appendix.
it's not a piece of cake. you will be sore. lifting things will be hard. but before you know it you will be better
good luck
