Parenting after a Loss

Starting yogurt

What is a good age to start feeding yogurt? Wholesomebabyfoods.com says 6 months, but a link I got from a paper at my pedi's office says 10 months.

I was thinking that I might start it tomorrow if 8 months is acceptable because the antibiotics Ben is on are a little tough on his tummy and I thought that maybe the acidophilis in it would help.  It usually does for me. Any suggestions are welcome.

  • Did you notice any tummy trouble or poo changes when she started eating it?

  • We started around 8 months, I think.  No troubles, she loooooves it!  We used YoBaby.  All the kinds are good.  The veggie/fruit combos sound a bit weird, but they're good!

  • I started yo baby at 6 months, she loved it, no problem at all and actually helped her poop every day (she was an every other day kinda girl!!)

I started with half of the "jar" every morning for 2 weeks then on to the full container  after that.

  • We started a couple of weeks ago and he loves it. I bought plain whole milk yogurt and just mix in some fruit puree. I did not notice any changes in his digestion when we started.
  • Thanks ladies.  I brought some Stoneybrook Farms whole milk plain yogurt yesterday I'm going to try it at lunch with some puree mixed in. Thanks for the advice.
