I've been stressing about the name for DD#2. I have always loved the name Isabella (for years, and loooong before the popularity and Twilight craze) and was 100% sure from the beginning that I'd use it if we had another girl after DD#1.
But now, I'm having second thoughts with more and more people talking about the popularity of it and Twilight's "Bella" correlation (btw, I've never even seen the movies or read the books. Plus, H and I are not a fan of the nickname Bella, so we would not be calling her that anyway). I know I should choose what I want regardless, but now, I'm considering Isabelle just so it won't have the -bella at the end.
The only other two we discussed before were Amelia and Emily, but H isn't sure about those two. So I just wanted some outside opinions on the names we are considering. Also, we are set on either Sophie or Sophia for the middle name, after my grandmother's first name. Thanks for your opinions (I'm open for other suggestions too, that will go well with the middle name we chose)

I voted Emily but prefer Emmeline. (Less common)
If you love Isabelle, how about Isabel ? I like that spelling better. It is very common, my little cousin is 1 and her name is Isabella Karleen Rose P________. Karleen after her mom Karla.
Of course they do call her "belle, belle" or "bella," but you could always go with "isa as a nn or izzy."
The Isabel spelling is pretty too, I hadn't thought of that one because I originally had the double "L" spelling of Isabella in my head this whole time.
I'm thinking you're right about Isabelle Sophia flowing better too.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!! Very exciting :-D
I'm beginning to learn, go with what you love. No matter what the popularity is. Emily has been super popular for years and years and Amelia is very quickly climbing the charts.
Either way, you never know what the other kids will be named in her classes when she gets older.
Go with what you love!
I agree. I don't want to settle on a name that I don't really love, just because of the name's ranking. And like I mentioned in another post, popularity of a name is also regional. I don't know anyone who named their kids the names I mentioned above. In fact, I didn't realize the popularity of them until I came to the bump and saw all the baby name and social security links.
By the way, I love all your baby girl name options. Good luck in deciding on the best one for your LO
