I have debated all day whether to post this now or after my first OB appointment on Monday but I could really use some support. I took two pregnancy tests last night that came up positive within seconds. Based on a pregnancy calculator I am between 7 and 8 weeks. This means if all goes well with this pregnancy I will be expecting a baby at the end of October. Brady won't even be one yet. Obviously this is a total shocker to DH and I considering it took nearly two years to get pregnant with B and we have only had sex twice since I had Brady. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. We always wanted another baby just not this soon. I'm afraid that I won't be able to give B the attention he needs as he will only be 11 months old when the new baby arrives. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. I know there are a few women on here who have been in the same situation. Firsttogo...you around????
If you are friends with me on facebook, please do not say anything. Thanks ladies.

Oh my goodness!!! Congratulations!
I know it's a lot to process, but you will do great and B will love having a sibling so close in age!
Congratulations!! I know it's probably so overwhelming right now, but it will work out!! I have known many children who are that close in age and they have all been super close.
What a wonderful miracle!!

Wow! How exciting and scary at the same time! You just need to take things one day at a time. Enjoy the time that you have with Brady as an only child and then he'll have a sibling and he'll still get time too - it will just be shared.
And CONGRATULATIONS! That is just wonderful!
Congrats!!!! So exciting
Wishing you a healthy PG. Keep us posted.
I know the emotions and it is such a roller coaster, just remember that Brady will be fine
You are giving him the gift of a sibling and you sill have 8 months alone with him!
WOW! Congratulations! I can understand how you feel because I have had some mini-freakouts since my surprise BFP and mine will be 19mo apart. I think the surprise of it is very shocking after everything we have all been through with IF.
Wishing you all the best!
Wow! I can understand how you would be surprised and concerned, but you are an amazing mom! I know that you will be able to give Brady and this new baby everything they need
Congratulations!!!

Wow-I'm sure it's a little hard to process right now but you will do great.
Congratulations!!!
First off, congrats!
I think anyone worries about not giving the first child as much attention as they will need. Heck, Eli will almost be 3 when this one comes and I was worried. Think of it this way, at 11 months you won't have to deal with a sassy 2 1/2 year old while pregnant. You will be able to keep them both on the same type of schedule. You will be able to spend alone time with Brady when new baby naps because he will be sleeping less. It will all work out fine. Brady will just think that's what happens and one day a baby will appear. Eli asks daily if his baby is here, and then the next minute says he doesn't want a baby...I see a much smoother transition for you since you will be that close to the newborn stage.
Because we're fancy like that.
Mine are 14 mos apart and it sounds like we had the same situation...2 yrs for #1 and we had sex one time that month and boom! Crazy. 2u2 is hard (well, for me), but it's also alot of fun. I had all those emotions...even wished i wasn't prego
But now it's the best. I promise the best gift you can give your LO is a sibling. They will have so much fun together(and hopefully entertain each other so you can have some peace). This is what i keep looking forward to
GL! and Congrats!
