Griffin for a boy...

Do you love or hate it?

We've loved it ever since we heard it, but my MIL turns her nose up to it, and a lot of people just give a polite, "ohhh that's nice" when we tell them. 

I tend to be a people pleaser (especially when it comes to my MIL), but we really love the name. I'm starting to second guess.

I'd love your HONEST feedback. PLEASE tell me if you think its awful. I don't want our boy (if we end up having a boy) to have a bad name!

    I like Griffith, but not Griffin. It's probably because of this:

    My 6 yr old daughter was going to be Griffin if she was a boy!

    I took an English class in high school with a guy named Griffin. He was really cool, played in a band, nice to everyone, and wound up being runner-up for homecoming king. So, I have positive associations with the name because I knew a great person who had it, thus I'm a little biased. Still, I love this name and the way it sounds.

    I love it! One of my top choices, but most names that end in an "n" are off limits for me because our last name ends in an "enn" sound... :(

    I like it! I think it is a little different so that may be why your MIL is turning her nose up at the name. I do associate it with the "Family Guy" and I really don't care for that show. That is mainly why it is no longer on my list.

    NMS, but I wouldn't turn my nose up if someone else wanted to use it. I think it's becoming a little popular, though. Don't forget to consider (peer) NN as well.

    Love it!!!  Don't worry about what others think.  My mother told me that she doesn't like the girl name we plan on using (provided we have a girl the next time around).  At first I was hurt but I got over it and realized that this is our child and we'll name her what we want to name her!
