Ewww, I know this sounds gross. But I wanted to know if anyone else experiences a thick, white fluid during their cycle. A few days after my period ends, I get a white discharge that lasts pretty much up until my next period. There are some slight changes, but for the most part it reminds me of watery sour cream but it is indeed sticky and sometimes has an odor (like vinegar). I complained about it to my OB but every test comes out fine (no BV or yeast). However, I'm curious to know if this weird discharge is the reason we haven't conceived yet. My hubby had told me that he has never seen this in any of the women he was previously with and he thinks its very unusual. I confided in my best friend and she also never had anything like this. My OB just said it could be that some women have heavy discharge.
Anyone else experience this? Have you told your OB and what have they said about it? I don't know if I should find a new OB if this is a problem of not conceiving. Curious what others have to say!! Thanks!
Re: White thick stickly discharges?
Have you researched cervical mucus yet? It's probably normal. You should take the lessons on fertilityfriend.com.

Queasy Steff?

Ick. Gross. If you are worried about it, I would get a second opinion, since your OB doesn't seem worried. HTH.
Found this on WebMD:
Look at your vaginal discharge. A normal discharge usually is clear to cloudy white, smells slightly acidic (like vinegar), may be thick or thin, and changes a little throughout the menstrual cycle. For more information, see the medical test Fertility Awareness.

It appears you are normal and we are not!
I second Steff's recommendation to take some lessons on FF, you may also want to check this out. It is graphic, but gives you some insight on what the changes in CM should be like throughout your cycle.

Because he makes it a habit to check out his partners CM?
Seriously though, most likely it is like what PP have said, normal CM discharge. TCOYF is really helpful and it'll explain to you all of the changes your CM goes through during your cycle. FWIW I have CM from the day AF ends to the day it starts again and I have had what you described and it is nothing to worry about.
4th BFP-August 2014- Due May 12, 2015
I found this site a few weeks back. Fascinating stuff!!
OP, sounds like normal creamy CM. You just may have more of it than others. Every woman's CM differs. TCOYF has a great section on helping identify CM types as well.
Hahahaha! Yes, the title made me want to do that. However, I stillcouldn't resist opening this!

I don't think DH even knows what CM is, lol. He doesn't really want to know about anything "unusual" about the "lady parts" as he puts it
alibuddha, I agree with what people have been saying. It sounds normal, but you know your body best, so if its something crazy that you've never seen before and you're worried, talk to another doctor.
Good luck
