I remember seeing some posts about this a while ago. If you've tried the Peapod bed, was it a success? What do you think the age limit is? Would it comfortably fit a 1-2 year old? We're probably doing some airline travel this year, and I'd love to have something lighter/smaller than our full-size pack and play to take with us.

We have it and love it. We introduced it to DD when she was 3 years 3 months, and she took to it right away, even wanting to sleep in it when we were at home. We have the larger of the two sizes, and she's 36 inches and fits in it very easily. She moves around like crazy in her sleep, so we needed her to have an enclosed space (she'll roll out of a hotel bed unless it's pushed against the wall and one of us is in bed with her).
DS is another story. I tried introducing it to him last week. He loves to play in it, even zipping himself inside. But sleeping is another matter...lots of screaming as soon as he realizes I'm leaving the room. I'll keep working on it with him because it really is a handy thing to have. I definitely recommend it, as well as training your child to use it at a young age. Don't wait until two weeks before you're traveling like we did...
We have three of them and I rave about them all the time. That is my one piece of advice - try it out BEFORE you go on your trip so it's not brand new while you're traveling. My girls tooks naps in them before we went on trips.
And actually, DD #2 takes her afternoon naps in a Peapod in our guest room every weekend day. She and DD #1 cannot get to sleep if we put them down for a daytime nap together (they share a bedroom).
Glad you ordered it! You won't regret it! We have the green one and it IS our pack n' play!
We actually used it (nervously) the first time when DS was three weeks old. We had a wedding to go to out of town and it worked nicely. He was up so much nursing then that I felt better about it so young (it does say from birth and I couldn't find any info stating otherwise...)
But we love ours. It stays up in our living room with all his toys. I put him in it for naps...it's a wonderful thing. And it's coming with us on our trip this weekend!
We did have to watch some YouTube videos to learn how to collapse it back down though - now we are pros! haha
