so i have preeclampsia

in 3rd Trimester
I had my 37wk check up today and the doctor told me that she thinks I have preeclampsia. So I had some blood drawn, I get to pee in a jug for 24, go back on friday for and ultrasound and stress test. So now she put me on bed rest til LO comes. I am hoping they will induce me asap. Has anyone else had to deal with this? What should I expect?

    Sorry to hear that, I am in the same boat. I started my 24 hour collection today too. I am hoping that it turns out just to be higher than normal blood pressure and not pre-e. 

    Are you having any other symptoms other than high blood pressure? That was it for me.

    I have no real swelling, and my blood pressure has slowly been going up, and when I had to pee in a cup today and get it tested it was +1. So we will see how the rest of the tests go. On the plus side, I may get to meet my baby sooner than later.

    XP this on the high risk board - there are lots of us there who've had pre-e before. The diagnosis for pre-e is usually high BP coupled with protein in urine, whether or not you have accompanying symptoms (blurred vision, headaches, swelling, abdominal pain, etc).

    Right. I was under the impression that it's protein AND high BP, not just one in isolation.
