When did DC drop a nap?

DD is still getting 3 much needed naps a day.  When she's home, and napping well, I find that she may fight that 3rd nap, but ends up sleeping anyway, about 30-45 mins. 

I'm just wondering, do they drop that on their own?  How will I know?  Because I am pretty much forcing that 3rd nap on her, will she eventually not sleep when I put her down?

    DD went from 3 naps to one in the matter of about a month (around 8 months). ?Those 3 naps were usually about 20-40 minutes long. ?Her one nap is now between an hour and a half and three hours. ?I just followed her cues- I didn't try to put her down if she wasn't acting tired. ?Now she goes down between 1-2pm the second she shows a yawn. ?She fights it for a minute or two but then she's out.

    At seven months, DS transitioned from three naps (half hour to one hour) to two (one and a half to two hours).  He goes down every day around 11-11:30am and 4pm.

    DD dropped her 3rd nap around 7mo, she literally dropped it in a day and never went back
