Camping Weekend

At work a several of us are pretty close, we are thinking about bring our familes together for a weekend at a campground for some fun.   Does anybody know of a nice campground within about 3 hours from here?  I would love to find a campground that has a loop that is semi-private (not so open to everybody else)so we could possibly rent to whole loop.  Sites need to have electric for the people with campers.

Re: Camping Weekend

  • Growing up we'd go camping at Hocking Hills every summer.  I don't think they had "loops" back then, but it's been years since I've been there.  It was always a great time though.  A closer place that we used to go a lot was East Fork.  They do have the loops, and some pretty private spots, I'm not sure what the rules are on renting an entire loop, but I would think if you had enough people it wouldn't be a problem.

  • We went a few times with a group of friends but it is primitive and it's actually closer than 3 hours I think the name was Cave Run, it does have electric hook up.

We've stayed at Cave Run and really enjoyed it. It's very pretty there. I agree that it's pretty primitive for a campground.

I've also spent tons of time at Brookville lake. They have a very nice campground with small-ish loops.
