Question re: eBay refund

I bought some CD's from a seller on eBay that were described as excellent condition with no stains. I got them, used one of them, and got leaks everywhere through the PUL. The other has dark brown staining along the leg stitchings. I closely inspected them and realized that PUL was damaged and torn in multiple places. These diapers are worthless.

I demanded a refund, and she will give me one, but she is asking that I ship the diapers back to her first.

I think this is BS. She expects me to pay for shipping back? Just so she can have her crap diapers back? Am I right in my thinking that this is crap?

Should I refuse? Ask for the refund regardless? How should I proceed. I am definitely NOT paying for return shipping. What should I say to her?

Re: Question re: eBay refund

  • I actually think this is pretty common -- that a seller asks for the items to be shipped back before processing the refund.  Did you pay with paypal?  If so, paypal should administer the refund process and tell you what to do. If not, I'd check with ebay and ask if there is some protection for you when you mail them back.

One other thought - check on the CD board here.  A lot of ladies over there have had bad transactions lately and might be able to give you some advice for how refunds are to be processed in the normal course.
