Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Feeding schedule

My DD is almost 6 months, and I was wondering what you are feeding your LO.  Are they eating cereal, fruit, veggies, all?  How much are they nursing or taking formula, and what are the amounts of formula?

Re: Feeding schedule

  • 7 am, 11 am, 3 pm, 7 pm - 6 oz. bottle

9 am, 1 pm, 5 pm - solids.  Usually a jar of food/cereal/yogurt and some finger foods (waffle, pasta, steamed veggie, cut up fruit, etc)

We've been on this schedule since just before 6 months.

  • We just started solids Saturday.  Right now, her schedule looks something like this:

    7-7:30am nurse

    9-9:30am bottle/nurse (4oz)

    12pm nurse

    2:30pm bottle/nurse (4oz)

    4:30-5:30pm bottle/nurse (3oz)

    6pm - solids

    7pm - nurse

    11pm - nurse

    3-4am - nurse

In a month, we'll add in another solids session.

  • She's nursing or taking a bottle every 3 hours or so. Bottles are 5oz. We're doing BLW for solids, so on weekends she may have 2 meals/day with us. During the week it's usually just dinner. She just gets whatever we make for dinner as long as it's not a choking hazard.
