Cold hands at night

DD no longer fits her no scratch mittens. I used to put them on her to sleep to help keep her hands warm. What else have you used to keep DC hands warm through the night?

  • We haven't been using anything.  I'm not too worried about it.  Sometimes he sleeps on his hands (he's a tummy sleeper).  If you think about it, you probably don't keep your hands covered all night and I bet you don't notice that they get cold.  I think as long as she's dressed warmly everywhere else, she'll be fine.

  • I haven't put anything on her hands yet...  I figure if the rest of her is warm and it dosn't seem to bother her,  just leave well enough alone...   I'm a bad mommy...   =(

  • You could try socks.  I did for a few days and then realized they were making her hands even colder because she sucks on her fingers at night, which made the socks wet and thus colder than with nothing.
  • Nothing. We have a heater in his room, so its about 71 degrees in there. His hands are ususally warm.

Does DC swaddle? That might help. I think they make sleep sacks that have fold over mittens. DS always has his hands in his mouth, so they would always be wet.
