Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I have a minute and would like to post a quickie update on me and Isaac.
Went in Sat morning for low movement, started NST and his heart was decelerating for no reason and I was having lots of contrax. They admitted me and said they would continue monitoring. First sono (old machine) showed low fluid and no diaphragm movement; better sono (with MFM) showed normal fluid and diaphragm movement. So, the BPP was good, the NST was not. We just couldn't get him to move around. The thought was the decels were due to cord issue.
Eventually the call was made to deliver and he was born via c/s at 7:58 pm. Cord and placenta seemed fine. He was very pale upon delivery and they found his blood gas came back abnormal and he needed a blood transfusion. He had his second one this morning.
I have yet to hold him. I've only seen him once. I'm starting to get annoyed but I know it's for the best. I've been pumping and got a tiny bit with a syringe that they can feed him. I feel really hopeless but I know he's in good hands...
He's on some oxygen and here's how he looked last night. He's SUPER feisty and a fighter and is a big crier so we're hoping it will strengthen his lungs well. I (think) he has a strawberry blonde curly hair.

Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy. He is so precious--look at that mouth!
Hang in there. I'm sorry things have been rough. Sounds like you've got a tough little cookie there and that is a good thing. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

From apreemie mom to another. BIG HUGE HUGS and hang in there...this will be the most stressful time for you. The constant worry and hopelessness. Everything will work out I promise! The nurses and Dr.'s are wonderful. Be forceful with information, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTION AND DEMAD ANSWERS!!
DOn't give up on the BFing you will be able to do it soon. Just think positive and keep pumping! Big hugs to you momma. I am so proud of you and love that baby!

Congrats!! He's so beautiful! I know how scary it is to have your baby come a few weeks too early. If you have any questions or want to talk, please let me know! And if not me, then there are lots of other mommas here that have similar experiences too. Don't feel alone.
Also, speak up to a nurse when you get to go see your baby and mention you haven't held him yet. Unless there's a specific reason they won't let anyone hold him yet, I bet a nurse finds a way for you to get to hold him, if even for a minute. I didn't get to hold Z that first day he was born and when I mentioned it to his nurse, she picked him up and plopped him in my hands to hold while she changed his blankets. Best moment ever.
