Hi ladies -
Our son's name is Holden. We're having another boy, and are having a heck of a time coming up with a name that we think compliments Holden without being too similar.
Here are our ideas: Quinn, Kai, Cooper, and Ryder. We thought we were decided on Quinn but I seem to be waffling and thought asking for feedback here would be helpful.
TIA.
Re: Boy's name to go with Holden?
I like Quinn.
My favorites are Brooks and Walker, I think they go well with Holden. I also like Carter and Carson.
I like Quinn a lot, though it's growing popularity as a girls' name puts me off a little.
I love Holden, but your other names are NMS. If I was going to choose, though...I'd probably vote Cooper.
Kai is nowhere near the same style as Holden, and Ryder is, frankly, a flat-out stupid name. How the obvious sexual jokes that accompany that name escape parents is seriously beyond me.
I like the name Quinn but think of it as more of a girls name now. Your other names don't really "go" with Holden imo. Here are some names that I like with Holden.
Garrett, Rhys, Grant, Flynn, Gregory, Ian, Jared/Jaron, Nolan, Ryan, Travis, Tate, Wesley, Vincent
This. Especially when paired with Holden. Holden and Ryder. Ug.
I think Cooper is the best of the bunch and goes well with Holden.

I really like Quinn w/Holden.
Cooper & Ryder are ehh in my book and Kai doesn't seem to go w/Holden IMHO.
I like Quinn, but it is being used on girls so you have to decide if that bothers you.
Finn is a bit less likely to be a girl name, and I think it fits well with Holden.
Cooper is cute.
Ryder is trendy and NMS.
I just hate the name Kai.
I also like Grant with Holden for some reason.
Cooper! Yes!

I will never see the name the same way. I feel a bit dumb for never thinking Ride-her but am now laughing. And of course am glad I posted this so we can go ahead and cross that name off with a big fat black marker!
Caulfield? (just kidding)
Hudson? Truman?
My boys are Holden (5), Greyson (4) and Cullen (due 6/13/11)
