Does anyone's LO NOT drink milk (of any kind)?

My son is allergic to dairy/soy and has been BF since birth.  I am not 9 wks pregnant and the weaning process is slowly occurring.  We've tried offering him rice milk, almond milk, coconut milk - but he wants nothing to do with it.  I am kind of freaking out that when I am done nursing him - he will only be getting a little bit of juice and water all day.

  • Neither of my children drink milk.  I got DS to drink chocolate milk for a short period but then that stopped too.  I make sure that I supplement with plenty of other dairy so that they get the calcium.  Otherwise, my kids drink juice and water and that's it.  If you are worried about the lack of calcium, there are other ways to get that - fortified juices or a chewable vitamin.

  • DS does not drink milk.  I have tried and tried, but he will not drink it from a cup.

He gets plenty of cheese, yogurt, and fortified OJ.  If the pedi tells me to, I will give him calcium supplements.

  • DD is allergic as well. You could try a hemp milk smoothie.

  • No milk here...yogurt or cheese
  • Elyse won't have anything to do with milk.    She eats a ton of cheese and other dairy products, fortified oj & apple juice...

She also takes a daily vitiman (has 100% vitiman D in it as well) and calcuim supplement.

  • DD only recently started having milk (soy, usually) with her cereal. Before that, her main sources of calcium were tofu, yogurt and cheese.

  • We give DD a sippy of chocolate milk before bed and she might drink an once or 2 (we have tried everything to get her to drink more and used to give it 3 times a day but was just going to waste bc she hardly drank any). Now I give her yogurt in the morning and cheese at snack time and sometimes meals and she takes a vitamin.

  • DS doesn't like milk either.  We tired all varieties/flavors of cow milk, oat, hemp, and he won't drink it.  He does like YoBaby/YoToddler Yogurt Smoothies so I often send him to daycare with one of those bottles/day.  Otherwise he is still BF and eats plenty of cheese, yogurt and fortified juices.  We are also trying to incorporate more kale, bok choy, and spinach into our meals which are good sources of calcium too.
