Thickest cervix on Earth

Just went to the doc and I've made no progress since last week.  Still just 1cm which is no biggie, but my cervix is still very thick.  LO still hasn't moved down either.  Her butt and legs are above my belly button...ugh.

We had the induction talk today and my doctor said she doesn't induce unless it's medically necessary and that could mean 42 weeks for me.  I can't even imagine going that long, but I guess it's not really up to me.  What a discouraging appointment!

    You've still got time!!  Dont' get discouraged!  I made tons of progess since my 38 week appt.  I'd try to avoid being induced, too.  Everyone I've talked to said it can be a miserable experience.

    I don't want to be induced.  I guess I just never thought that there's a slim possibility I could be pregnant for 3 more weeks!  Positive thinking.....I will make progress, I will make progress.

    I'm in the same boat!  Baby hasn't dropped at all, and I am barely 1cm dilated...so discouraging!

    Since the beginning I've been preparing myself for a 42 week pregnancy so it doesn't seem so daunting now.  I know there is a possibility of going till the 7th of April.  Obviously I hope I don't but I'm prepared for it.

    I agree! Walk Walk Walk and Walk some more... if you have a yoga ball sit on that and "roll" your hips - sitting on this ball helps "open up" your pelvis.
