US/Sonograms

Hello all!!

Just a quick question, when did most of you get your first US? I had my first appt. 2/18/11 at 7+ weeks, she did an internal exam to measure my uterus and gave me my EDD and a flu shot and sent me for blood work. My second appt. is 3/2/11 at 9 weeks. At this appt. they are getting my history and I am assuming more blood work. Does this sound right?

My first u/s is going to be at my 9w appointment, which happens to be my first appointment with her. Every doctor/office is different in how frequently or early they want to perform an u/s so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

With DD I did not get an u/s until 13 weeks, and I only got it because they could not find the heartbeat through the doppler. Otherwise it would have been 18 weeks.

With DS I was with a new practice (we moved) and I had a dating u/s at 8 weeks.

I am with the same practice as I had DS with, and they offered me the 8 week dating u/s but I declined it. I know the dates and don't see the need for an u/s for the sake of an u/s. My OB said it was completely optional and he had no problem waiting until the NT scan we could always do one if the need arises (like spotting, etc.)

Ultrasound at 7 weeks. First appointment with the doctor will be at 8 weeks. (My OB's office does the first appointment anywhere between 8-10 weeks, depending on availability.)

I am high risk so Im not quiet sure what the protocol for a "normal" pregnancy is.

I've been under the care of my OB since I was 5wk1d and I see her every 2 weeks. I've had an U/S everytime I've seen her & I just recently 8wk had my prenatal labs drawn ... and in 2 weeks I go in for my first scan/NT.

I just wanted to tell you Congrats on the pregnancy!

With DD I only had one US and that was at 20 weeks.

This time I am getting one at 6.5 weeks. (diff doc)

I have two doctors, one is my normal ob and the other is a high risk ob. I had an u/s at 4weeks1day at high risk to to see my ute. I snuck in an u/s at work last night because I was curious to see the sack now, and there it was, but teeny tiny. My first REAL u/s is at 7 weeks with regular doc and 8 weeks with high risk.
