Diapers... UPDATED

I need to find an overnight diaper for Kolby.  He is leaking through.  Is one better than the other?  He is currently in size 3's and my mom bought some 4s for me today.  Maybe just moving up a diaper will help? He doesn't leak through during the day, just at night.

TIA

Update: WE DIDN'T LEAK!! The Huggies 4's overnight worked great.  Super full this morning (sorry TMI!) but we were dry.  Thank goodness.  I need to post a picture.  Mr. Kolby has gotten so mobile when he sleeps that he ended up with both legs through the rails on the crib.  It was really cute.  I had to pick him up and move him back up on the mattress.  Think I have to put the bumper back in.

Thanks ladies!!! I appreciate all the feedback.

  • We use one size up for Georgia overnight. She's never leaked out of an overnight, either. Good luck!

  • When Evan was wearing size 3s he started leaking out overnight too. I found that they don't make size 3 overnights, so I went with the size 4. Turns out that one size larger in the overnights is what he needed. We found that out the hard way when he moved to size 4s durning the day and we kept him in size 4s overnight. We had blowouts every morning until we moved him up a size.

  • i've been having this problem recently too.  DD is still in size 2s so i searched for a size 3 overnight but couldnt find any locally (a friend bought huggies overnites in 3s on amazon though).  i now just have a random collection of size three diapers that i'm using, not overnights specifically but at least a size up.  she's still blowing out of them every night, i've had to wash her sheets every day this week.  i guess i need to borrow a few of my friends huggies to see if they work  :)   i had been using pampers 12-hours size 2s and they were a-w-f-u-l.

  • the pampers ones were awful for us!! I only bought them because they were on sale, and now I use them only for occasional daytime use.  Huggies overnights are thicker and MUCH more absorbent. I also had luck with the CVS overnights, but i only buy those when they're cheap.

  • OK moving up.  Hopefully tomorrow morning i wont be doing laundry AGAIN! Aghhh...washing sheets every single day has gotten old.

  • FWIW, we use Huggies Overnights. Pampers during the day though.

And I can't remember where we found size three's locally. It was either BRU, Target or Randalls.

  • DD is in size 3 and we use Huggies Overnights - BRU has size 3 and up in Huggies so I have to go there to get them. She doesn't leak through them but does in the regular ones if you use those at night since she sleeps 12 hours at night. I think size 4s would be too big on my skinny one....

i checked two randalls and two targets and no luck.  but i'll hit BRU this weekend since caligirl says they are there!  didnt want to waste a trip there unless i was sure -- thanks

BRU was where we found the size 3's.

Us too. I know the Baybrook location has them. It has to be a BRU and not a BRU/TRU combo. At least the Pasadena combo store didn't have them.

  • We're also Huggies overnight users.  I never tried the Pampers, but sounds like they don't work as well.

Cooper wears 4's during the day, but has to do 5's at night.  And has for a while!  Some days he's still damp in the mornings, but I think the 6's would be too big.
