Success after IF

update on me, bob's coming soon!

I had my 36w appt today and my bp and protein in urine and swelling is all going up. My bp was 145/100.  So I am now doing NST twice a week and my dr is hoping to get me to 38w before inducing.  But if things get worse he will induce me earlier.

WOW.  Bob will be here soon!   I'm back on strict bed rest (had been put on modified for a while) but my dr really doesn't think I will get to 39weeks.

I know he'll come at some point no matter what, but still thinking he might be here in two weeks is insane! this whole time I've prepared myself to get to 41 weeks! Big Smile so it's just crazy!

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • WOW!! you are so close!!!

That was similar to my situation, I was going in for NST's twice a week, and  my swelling was crazy and BP topped out at 148/96...They decided to come on their own at 36wk 4 days. Its funny because I didnt realize how much I had swollen and how much water I was retaining until I saw pics of myself right before birth and then a day after birth..HUGE difference!!!

Well take care of yourself and cook him as long as possible!!! Can't wait to see pics and hear his real name!!!!

  • Wow.  I'm sorry you're having these problems but the fact that you'll have your little boy early is so great.  I'm so jealous.  Mine does not seem to want to budge!

    Best of luck!

    xoxo

  • You could have him on my bday - nov 7th.  :)

I can't believe how close you are.

  • yayyyyy!!!!! how exciting!!!! :)  sounds like you and bob are in good hands! :)

  • How exciting!!!  I have had a sneaking feeling that Bob would like to make his appearance sooner rather than later.

I cannot believe that he is almost here!!  I am sure you and Joey are SO excited!   You never know, your little turkey could turn into a little pumpkin :)

It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.
