Do you love being pregnant?

I was telling MH the other day that I think it will be easy for me to have more kids after this one because I just love being pregnant.  I feel great and even though I had some bad morning sickness for awhile, my pregnancy has been amazing.  I know the next one, or 4, might be completely different, but I love feeling the baby move and the way I look and just the overall excitement of being pregnant.

So, do you love being pregnant?  Hate it?  It's just okay for you?  Tell me your thoughts.

  • I LOVE it!!!!!!  So much.  I'm going to miss it terribly and really hope that we hit the jackpot and get pregnant right away.  It's mostly wishful thinking since it took us 3 1/2 years to get this one and I'm older than dirt, but a girl can dream, right?

  • it depends on the day - but for the most part, yes.  I had really yucky morning sickness, but since that passed - i love it.  I love feeling my daughter, i love forgetting i am pregnant and then catching a glimpse of myself and knowing that i get to be a mommy

  • I absolutely LOVE being pregnant with the exception of the acne. Other than that, I've had an absolutely fabulous pregnancy. I never had any m/s or symptoms... I've just started getting that PG belly and I love it. I'll definitely be having more children. I'm sure not every pregnancy is the same, but this one has been fabulous. I love my PG body and I love knowing that I'm creating a miracle inside me.

I'm going to miss it when I'm not pregnant. That's for sure!

  • I really do! Even at the beginning when I was sick, or now when I have a bad day and don't feel good, that pales in comparison to how much joy I get from being pregnant.

  • I'm really liking it so far. DH said since I like it, I should be a surrogate after which could be cool but I would really have to think about it.

  • I love it so far!  I said the other day "If all my pregnancies are this easy, I'll just keep having kids."  I had minimal morning sickness (was only nauseated when hungry but never threw up), I'm still playing volleyball, doing yoga...have minimal aches and pains - only time my hips hurt is when I forget to sleep with a pillow between my knees.  Things are good!!!

I do wish doing #2 was a little easier, but that's minor.

Buttttttt....we'll see how the delivery goes before deciding how many more babies there will be!!! Tongue Tied

  • Nope, I'm definitely not one of those women who love being pregnant.  Between being super sick, feeling like a walrus, having horrible round ligament pain, etc.
I can't wait to not be anymore.  I love it for what it is and feeling the baby is amazing, but I'm no good at pregnancy.

  • Yes I do!  Though it's way harder this time around while chasing a toddler, I love being pregnant (minus not being able to run).  I would totally be a surrogate someday for one of my sisters or friends if they needed it.

This is a great line.  When I would be puking early on, I hated to puke, but loved the reason behind it.  Even now when I feel crappy, the baby kicks me and it just melts my heart to know he or she is there.

  • I love that I can have children. I hate being pregnant. I am not good at it either. I hate the worry - I worry allllll the time. I haven't felt my lil girl all morning and all I can think about is that something might be wrong. Im sure DH and I will have a couple more, but I really hope this worry disappears sometime soon.

  • I LOVE it too! It really is going by too fast for me. It has had its moments of stress and I was really worried the first trimester about something going wrong, but I'm really enjoying it. =)

  • I love it! I don't mind the body changes. I love the attention. I feel great.

I'm sure I would feel totally different if I was one of the girls who was sick for weeks on end!

  • I don't love some of the actual physical pregnancy symptoms - I had really bad m/s first tri and now have really bad hip and back pain.  But I do love feeling her kick and I love knowing that she's in there growing.  I *really* love doing all the baby preparations - researching and making decisions about how we want to raise her, care for her, what we want our family to be like, etc.  It gives me a big smile to know that we're preparing this special place in our lives for our daughter.

  • YES, I love being pregnant! I had no morning sickness, only threw up three times (but I think it was the food and/or overeating). I haven't experienced any swelling or hemorrhoids either.

I do have some lower back pain and my tail bone feels like it is bruised, but I can deal with that. The only other thing was all the nose bleeds I would get for about 5 weeks straight, I'd have them 3-4 times a week, some were worse than others, but again, I dealt with it.

I LOVE feeling my DS move around in my belly and seeing my belly grow. Depending on how these last 17 weeks and labor go, I'll be fine having more kids, but we're stopping after #3. haha.

  • I love it!! Sometimes I want to complain about not getting enough sleep, but I was like that before becoming pregnant! I could sleep for 10 hours! LOL

Same here - I worry too much.

I also miss drinking, miss my normal clothes, miss working out the way I want to work out. But OBV I love my baby, so it's worth it.

  • I don't think I love it. I do feel blessed and so greatful to be pregnant, but I don't love it. I loved it the first time because I had zero complications..this one is a bit different.I will say that I LOVE feeling and seeing her move around in my belly :)
  • I do not love it a bit.  I hate the acne, the all-day 1st tri morning sickness, feeling out of breath all the time, back/hip pain, bloody noses, heartburn, forgetfulness, moodiness, random body hair growing, strong likelihood of stretch marks, my boobs becoming ridiculously large and uncomfortable, waking up at 3-4am and not being able to go back to sleep so trying to make it through the day exhausted, etc.

I do love that we had such an easy time conceiving and feeling our little guy kick all day long.  I have wanted to be a mother for so long and cannot wait until I can kiss his sweet little face.  I will be having at least 2 more kids, but given the chance I would fast forward the pregnancy in a heartbeat.

  • Meh.  I love that I'm in remission, but my increased knee pain and muscular problems from the extra weight isn't the most fun. I love feeling kicks, but I'm not one to like attention so that is awkward for me. I don't complain much, even when I was puking my guts out, but I'm not gushing about how much I love it either. I also spend 3 days a week in a swimsuit and spend a lot of time pressed up against people so work is much more difficult as I change in size and it's creepy to me when patients who I barely know can feel her kick. I repeat - Meh for the physical, but the reason is pretty great.
  • I love the idea that i am pregnant and that i have a belly and can feel movement. But to be honest I am not loving the overall experience. I think it might have more to do with having twins. I am just so uncomfortable. heartburn is killing me and trying to get comfortable to sleep is really ridiculous. Also I am not allowed to excersise so that is making me feel very lazy.

But at the same time I wouldn't trade it for the world. it took us too long to get to this point. I will take being uncomfortable for as long as these babies stay inside me too cook.

  • I absolutely love it!  Even when I have pain or can't sleep, I still don't mind because I know the cause of the discomfort, and it's worth it.

I just love how I feel, how I look, how my husband looks at me, and even how complete strangers look at me.  I just feel fabulous, and so happy all the time!

  • I like being pregnant so far.  Its getting hard to sleep comfortably though.  And I will be very happy when I can finally crack open a beer after a long hard day.

  • I absolutely HATE being pregnant lol. I really shouldn't, I don't have too much to complain about... never got morning sickness, havent swelled yet (my wedding ring fits the same way it always has) etc. However, I do have the world's most heinous back acne. It is disgusting. I miss my flat toned stomach as well, it was my favorite part of my body :( Plus, I am sick of everyone thinking I am disabled or something. Everyone keeps asking how I am feeling. "Is it ok if you walk a little bit more?" etc. I want to scream OMG I am fine, I am just pregnant!

  • I didn't like it for the first 4 months....bloating, nausea, acne, constipation, feeling icky, giving up wine and coffee etc.  But now that my little bump is growing and I can feel little kicks all day, I'm 'starting' to enjoy it more!!  I still wouldn't say that I love it, but I LOVE thinking about being a mom in a few months!!!
  • Nope.

I think if I had a normal life without bed rest it may be different but this really sucks..I just want to hit 37 weeks already..

  • I'm a bad person because I'm going to say this has been very stressful for me.   I love my son to death and want him to come as close to 40 weeks as possible but with that being said, I'm a total worrywart and pregnancy has made it 10 times worse for me.  Even at 6 months pregnant I still worry about every little ache and pain.   The first trimester of my pregnancy I barely spoke about the pregnancy to anyone in fear I would miscarry.  When I was nearing the 20 week mark, I was scared they would find something on the anatomy scan.  Today, I worry about pre-term labor.  It never ends and I'm tired of being scared and worries even when it's totally unjustified.

  • I love being pregnant!!!!!  I am 25 weeks and still do not feel pregnant!  I feel the baby moving but I have had no 'symptoms' of being pregnant!!!!  I told my husband I was afraid to get pregnant again because I would probably have the exact opposite pregnancy next time!
  • No, I don't love being pregnant. I feel guilty saying that because I've had two very easy pregnancies (no morning sickness, no complications whatsoever) but I just don't enjoy it.

This one is worse. I felt better at 41 weeks with Zack than I do now -- I'm just achey and uncomfortable and so ready for it to be over. We weren't sure whether we'd keep going to three kids, but now I know -- we're done with two!

This. I love being pregnant, don't get me wrong. But I HATE the worrying and anxiety it has caused me. It seems that each trimester and day even brings a new worry to me. My worry of the day is that my baby isn't moving as much as he/she was several days ago. If I did not worry as much, pregnancy would be bliss.

  • Sorry, but no.  I don't like my size and the crazy eating and the fact that I can't exercise or move the way I used to.  I love feeling the baby move and rumble around, but I don't like the process.

The other night my husband said that he wished the kid were born and sitting between us on the couch.  I understand that!

  • I'm kind of over it, really.   Both my pregnancies have been great, but i've had a lot of colds and flu this time and I miss the luxury of being able to flake out and sleep whenever I want like I had with #1.

I had the day off yesterday and was by myself at home the whole day.   It was the first time i've really sat around talking to and rubbing my belly and i did that all the time with #1.

I guess what i'm saying is, enjoy the first ladies

  • I am really loving it right now!  The 1st trimester was a little hard but nothing I wouldnt do again and all the attention I get now makes it all worth it!  I would have no problem doing it again pretty quickly!
