Austin Babies

i have this terrible feeling about my pg.

I just have a bad feeling this time around. I have having zero symptoms (no tenderness, no upset stomach, nuthin'). At this point w/ Jack, I couldn't even keep water down. Now, I'm not wishing m/s on myself and I know that all pg. are different, but I just feel like baby U2 isn't growing in there. Sad

Re: i have this terrible feeling about my pg.

  • I'm so sorry. Sad Do you think if you keep POAS and seeing that "pregnant" pop up it might make you feel better? Any chance of seeing the doctor earlier? (((hugs))) I'm wishing lots of sickness on you right now! Wink

  • I remember my symptoms would come and go. When I felt good I would get really worried and wish morning sickness on myself. Then the next day I would be totally miserable again and wish it was gone :). That wait for the first appt is SO long, but hopefully baby is doing great and you will just have a MS free pregnancy this time!

  • just keep reminding yourself that every baby is different! this one must be a girl... she's being kinder to you than jack was in the womb Stick out tongue

but really, is it an option to see the doctor earlier to make you feel better?
  • Don't worry, I am sure everything is ok!  Maybe this one is a girl and so you feel totally different???  I had no symptoms with Reese at all either and I was so nervous about it, but everything was fine.  Maybe get into the doctor earlier?  Try not to worry and hugs!

  • i bought 5 pg tests that day i went to the dollar store to keep on hand and i've peed on every.single.one. jon was asking the same thing last night, but i'm pretty sure that those test for increased hCG, right? so, what i'm worried about is that i have the levels of that of a woman who is 4 weeks pg, but not those of a woman who is 6 weeks pg.

i see the nurse this Thursday and they'll do a blood draw then. i'm assuming they'll check levels then. fingers crossed.

and thanks for the puke dust!! Stick out tongue

  • Maybe this means you're having a girl.  Smile

I'm sorry you're so worried this time around.  I'm sure I would be if I were in your shoes.  *~*~*~*Loads of healthy pregnancy dust*~*~*~* and prayers  to you and your bean.

  • i had to POAS pretty regularly (about once a week) to convince myself I was PG. i agree that seeing it on the stick might help.?

it's such a horrible feeling to think that something could be wrong- i know there's not really anything we can say to take that gut feeling away.?

ill be thinking barfy thoughts for you all day. ?

  • **More barfy thoughts coming your way**

I agree with the girl thing.  DD was much nicer to me than DS and the m/s started later with her.

  • I am so sorry you are feeling this way.  This PG has also been pretty different for me.  I think it is just the fact that every PG is different.  One of my friends that has been PG three times said every single one, one boy and two girls, was very different.

Good luck at your appointment Thursday and lots of ****healthy PG dust**** headed your way

  • Oh man, I know that feeling well.  I almost posted the exact same thing 100 times yesterday but kept stopping myself.  I've been feeling the same way - no symptoms.  My tenderness seems to have gone away.  I was also cramping a bit last week but now nothing.  Plus I had a temp plunge yesterday morning.  I was a mess!

Luckily, my temp went back up this morning, but I will be SO very happy once I see the little bean at our appointment next week and hopefully a heartbeat as well(?)

I think for those POAS tests, you should be able to see increasing color to indicate increasing amounts of hCG, but it's probably possible that you've hit the upper limit(?)  I'm just guessing.

Just wanted to say that I'm right there with you.  I'm sure things are fine, but it's hard to turn off the worrying.  ***lots of healthy baby dust!***

  • maybe your body just knows what it's doing this time so it isn't freaking out yet?

or maybe jack is keeping you on your toes so much that you don't have time to think about how bad you feel and it's really worse than you realize. ha!

stay positive. U2 will have you turning green in no time.

  • I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that Baby U2 sticks and is being kinder and gentler to you. :-)

Keep us posted about your appointment on Thurs!

Lots and lots o' Sticky Dust to you, My Dear!

  • I felt the same way about mine.  Last time, I was sick right away, but with this one, I have not been sick once in 11 weeks.  Still, everytime they check my blood, my levels are "perfect" according to Dr. Seeker and we have seen the little heart beating twice now.  I wanted to slap people who kept telling me, but I guess every PG really is different.  Try not to stress too much and I hope everything goes well with the blood draw!!!
  • i'm sorry you're having these feelings! (((hugs))) just remember every pregnancy is different. i never had a single sympton my entire pregnancy - no sickness, no tenderness, nothing!!! sending lots of baby growing dust your direction.

  • I can't tell you the # of tests that I bought because the second line was not getting darker at all and I was freaking out. I finally bought a digital (which I still have one if you want it) and seeing pregnant made me feel better.

Same reasons---I did not have any and I mean I had NOTHING to indicate I was pg. Then some where around week 8 or 9 I was hit with all day sickness. That kind you feel after you drink way, way to much and all you want to do is sleep and throw up but you can't do either---I had that straight until about week 12.

So, keep the faith that the little one is in there doing fine. I thought for sure the difference meant a boy but we are having another girl so good luck!

  • I'm sorry you're so worried. I am wishing you tons of Ick! dust, and best of luck at your dr's appointment.
  • Hey, maybe you'll just be one of those lucky stiffs who has a wonderful pregnancy and "glows" the whole 9 months. Lots of sticky and barfy dust coming your way!
  • thanks y'all! i know all these things in my head...but it sure does help reading your posts.

babs- ha! i've never glowed a day in my life!

  • I'm sure everything will be fine!!  I felt the same way since I had heard that you're "supposed" to have symptoms pretty early on.  However, I felt fine, like nothing was different, until about week 8. Then I had that nasty hungover feeling constantly and nothing was appetizing to me at all.  I am just now starting to feel a little better most of the time.  But this is my first, so I can't really be much help there.  Except that I have heard what others have posted - that your body handles each PG differently.  ***Lots of barfy, hungover-ness dust coming your way***  Ick!

And then a Left Hug cause I feel bad even doing that to ya.

  • With DD I had very little symptoms at 6 weeks.  It wasn't until 8 weeks did I feel nauseous in the evening.  I never got sick.  I felt totally fine by 11 weeks.  Maybe your just lucky this time around.  They say every pregnancy is different.

  • ?I am sending you more puking dust your way.?

?Ok seriously, I am glad I am not alone. Up 'til 6 weeks I felt like you and FF and had no morning sickness, but for the last two weeks I regret that I wished for it. Good luck on your appt on Thursday

  • ***HUGS***

They really are different, even if you have the same gender.  One pregnancy I was nauseous from the get-go, the other not until 9.5 weeks.  SO, Grow Baby U2, GROW!  and get big enough to start kicking your momma soon and stop her from worrying!

  • I'm sorry you're feeling that way. I had a lot of the same anxieties because my first tri was so uneventful, but everything is fine. I wouldn't fret over it too much. Like you said, every PG is different, so you shouldn't compare it to your last one. I hope you feel better about everything soon.

DH says I have too much information available to me, and it's helping me drive myself insane.  He's probably right...

  • You're only 6 weeks in!  The m/s may still come along (mine started around 6 weeks).  Or...you may be lucky enough not to have it this time.  Chin up!  Try not to worry without cause, ya know?  Try to just enjoy (I know, easier said than done).
  • ****HUGS****

I'm sure everything will be alright!  You're in my thoughts!

  • Feisty - DH made me stop reading anything about being pg for that very reason.  Too much info can be dangerous. :)

Once I got out of the 1st tri, he lifted the ban.

  • **hugs** Here's some puke dust for you too

I've had no symptoms at all - no ms...nothing! The worst it got was food aversions, but even those only lasted for a week or two, and it wasn't every day. I totally understand how you feel. Just remember that they're all different!

  • I've had friends who said they had terrible m/s with the first only to have none with the second, so maybe you're just lucky this time around!!  When is your first appointment? Hopefully soon to ease your fears.  GL and keep us posted (and enjoy the lack of m/s! Mine lasted until a week and a half ago!!) :)
