Trouble TTC

Where are my MA girls?

The angry part is coming out now.  I want a new RE.  I feel like there was not enough testing done to get the full picture.  I am thinking about getting another opinion.  Can you recommend a new clinic?

Re: Where are my MA girls?

  • I am from MA but don't live there anymore so can't give a suggestion, I just wanted to offer some support (I just found out I have high FSH and fear there will not be many options for us).

    b/w=FSH 15.6, AMH 0.4 surprise natural BFP on 3/12/11

Thank you.  Don't let my story discourage you.  There are plenty of ladies who have gotten pregnant with high FSH.  I truly believe there is more to my story then just high FSH.  ((hugs))

Well, you know I'm on the north shore but I really like my RE. Mrs. Mo went there as well. It's MGH Northshore in Danvers. I was referred there by my OBGYN and have been really happy with their care.

    Thank you sweetie.

  • Hey Beth- I am out in western MA so I don't think I'll be helpful. My RE is in Springfield and I'm not sure you want to drive that far.

    hugs, again!

  • I am curious about where everyone goes too.  I am currently going to a RE out of St Elizabeth's but if the next step is IVF I believe that they send their patients to RSC in Lexington.  I would love to hear feedback about where everyone else goes.
    started TTC 5/10
    me: PCOS DH: low motility
    clomid 100mg - no response
    clomid 200mg +HCG+ IUI #1 5/1/11 = BFN
    clomid 200mg +HCG+IUI #2 5/31/11 = BFN
Clomid/HCG/IUI #3 Cancelled Follistism + IUI x2 BFN Changed RE Moving on to IVF 11/2011
  • I was just reading Beth's post on IF. I hope it is OK to respond. I am in RI and also going to W&I in Providence. So disappointed to hear that Beth's care sounds like it stinks.   I've heard positive things from 2 people about RSC. One was in Lexington (she was DOR and did multiple cycles and ultimately was successful with DE twice for 2 kids) and another who is pregnant on first IVF (unexplained IF).  I wonder if I will need to change since W&I doesn't seem very successful with DOR. I hate this!

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

I could just be a rare case (lucky me).  So I wouldn't really judge W&I on me alone.  Just make sure you ask a lot of questions and push if you don't feel comfortable with the answer. Or research the other places and go with what you feel most comfortable with.  GL!

  • I'm not sure where you are or what clinic you are using now but I use live in Somerville and use RSC in Lexington (Glatstein, although I have only actually seen him once). the nurses are nice and have been encouraging when I have asked questions and made suggestions. The hours are very convienant and they always call back.

Trish I didn't know you and Mrs. Mo were on the NorthShore! I work in Beverly :)

  • I am in Central Mass and go to the group at Umass Memorial and I have really liked them so far.
  • Hi Beth...I don't usually post but Dr Alison Zimon @ Boston IVF was reccommended to me.  She has offices in Quincy and Fall River. Hope that helps.

  • Fertility Solutions of New England. All four REs were formerly with RSC. They started their own clinic (with 5 locations). PM me if you would like details on my experience.
