Red Cross wants my blood :( (loss mentioned)

They called and left me a voicemail this morning, wanting me to come in to donate blood. At first I was annoyed because I KNOW I told them that I was pregnant the last time they called.

Then, the more I thought about it, I realized that they had called me during my first pregnancy...the one we lost. At that time, I told them that I was due in early February, so wouldn't be able to donate until after that time.

I should be able to donate blood next week.

Cue me in tears at my desk. Crying

    The same thing happened to me this weekend. Last time they called I was pg. and I told them I was due in Oct.

    They called again this weekend and I told them, "I know you think I am lying but I am pg. again, I lost the last baby". They were really nice about it and made a note.

    ((HUGS)) Those reminders are so tough!

    And it doesn't help that they are so pushy sometimes! They called me right after my loss and I said that I didn't think it was a good idea for me to give right then because of some medical things going on. Well the lady of course wouldn't give up and I told her I just had a m/c, so she said she would check with someone for me. I told her no, that I really wasn't comfortable with donating at that time and that I would come in or contact them when I was ready... Of course that set me off and I was so angry with them for being so pushy.

    Luckily, when they called back I had just found out I was pg again, so I was more happy to say no that time.
