1st time poster--PTL & GD momma

So I have been lurking for a little while and decided I should go ahead and post.

I was going for a regular appt two weeks ago Monday and right before my appointment I went to the restroom and lost my MP. Once I was with the doctor I informed her that I thought I has lost my MP so she decided to check me just to be on the safe side. Sure enough I was 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. They then hooked me up to the monitor and I was having contractions every 10-12 min--I had no idea!!! She decided to send me on over to L&D where I was given Procardia and two steroid shots for babies lungs. I spent 3 days there and they were able to get my contractions to stop and I had not dilated anymore so they let me come home to be on modified bed rest. 

In addition to my "regular appt" that Monday I took my 1hr glucose and failed, although at the time that was the least of my worries! So I went back for a check up with my doctor last Tuesday and also took my 3 hr. Well I failed that too, so add on to PTL, I also have GD to contend with. I was able to get into a GD class that afternoon and have been doing well with my numbers since then.

So sorry for the long post, but I am happy to have this board. All of you seem so helpful and encouraging!!!

    Welcome here!

    It's great to learn of how far you are in your pregnancy and that you received your steroid shots. 

    This board is super helpful and supportive. Keep us updated on your progress and don't hesitate to ask questions.
