Do you put bath wash...

in LO's bath water while it is filling? Or just fill the tub with water?

Re: Do you put bath wash...

  • I put the lavender bubble bath in before I draw the water.

  • We've got issues with sensitive skin, so we just do the water.

  • It depends...If I am using the nightime bath, I'll put it in the water while the tub is filling and she will take a bubble bath.  Otherwise, I just fill the tub with water.

  • In all my years of taking bubble baths, would you believe I never even thought to make him a bubble bath?  I just fill it with water and put the bath wash on the washcloth to wash him.  Hmm.

    Ah!  Shame on you!  ;)

  • Just water...whatever bath wash comes off of her and the wash cloth is what makes it into the tub. She had some exema creeping up on her a while back, so she also only gets 2 baths per week plus her swim lesson.

Wait a tic...this post makes me bronze!

    Woohoo!

It never occurred to me either.  I just may have to try it.   It's funny how you get into a routine and don't vary from it.

  • I put the wash in when she was in her whale tub, but stopped doing it once she went into the "big girl" tub. I'm going to start putting it in again.

ETA: I don't know what made me stop doing it. It was such a part of our bath time routine...lol!

  • Just an FYI that there seems to be a connection between bubble baths and UTIs. Sometimes it doesn't get rinsed off enough.

I had to be catheterized when I was a toddler cause of it. I can't enjoy a bubble bath to this day.

  • We definately bubble it up- DS loves to play with them and I like how the bubble bath smells ;-)

  • We use Johnson and Johnson body wash, and just put a cap full in the tub too while it's filling.
