If you have a FP cradle swing...

Do you have problems with it? Mine is brand new- we bought it from BRU in November. We change the batteries almost every other week, and we definitely don't use it that much, so I'm thinking the battery life isn't the issue. I called FP a few days ago and they told me to try a few different things, like holding down the reset button, etc. but I'm still having issues. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the mobile works, sometimes it starts and stops a dozen times on it's own. Anyway, is this a normal issue with these swings or did I get a dud?

  • Sounds like a dud to me.  We also had a battery-operated cradle swing by FP, and while it ate batteries, it never "misbehaved" like you're describing.  I would see if you can get them to replace it.  It sounds like a short in it or something that you can't resolve.

  • As I'm sure you know, we have issues with the one downstairs; however, the one upstairs works without issue. I just assumed it was because the one downstairs is older/used more frequently. FP will probably send you a whole new motorized unit, though, if you ask them to do so. Heck, I might even call and request it.
  • I have one and we had to change the batteries maybe every three weeks?  Never had any of the issues you described. It's the FP My little lamb.

    FP has issues with their motors on their swings... or at least they did in the past when I bought Eli's. Ours was so bad I am afraid to buy a new swing. I want to buy a used one, so I know the thing works and I can test the one I buy.

    Just called and they are sending me a new motor, wish I had done that weeks ago! The rep said sometimes the motors have issues, hopefully this will solve the problem! Thanks for the tip!
