My baby has pink eye :(

She's had juicy eyes for two days and last night her eye started matting up with green stuff and got very red. I took her to the dr today and she has pinkeye. She's starting antibiotics tonight. I think Jack (our beagle) farted on her pillow out of jealousy.

    DS had this and they said it was an infection caused by a clocked tear duct. Some mornings he couldn't even open it because it was pussed shut. SO sad. Hope she gets better soon.

    Poor thing.  You're sure it's not just a plugged tear duct?  They have similar symptoms, but I guess if the dr said pink eye than that's what it is.  My DS has plugged tear ducts for a while.

    He said when I called he was ready to tell me it was just a clogged duct, but after seeing it there is too much inflamation for just a clogged duct. We were at my nephews bday party earlier this week so its possible she picked it up there.

    I know this sounds crazy but I read in my breastfeeding book that breastmilk in the eye can be used to treat pink eye.  I thought it was so crazy I had to google it and found a few places that said BM can cure a few different eye infections.

    I've heard that! Too bad my boobs are dry or I'd whip those suckers out. I've heard you can put it in their ears for ear infections. It just sounds so weird, like it would spoil in their. Ew.
