We have 3 inexpensive convertible carseats (one for each of our cars, 1 for my mom).
Houdini has figured out how to unbuckle the buckle between his legs. How? No clue... but this obviously worries me because it's unsafe, I can't "talk" him out of it, and since he's RF, the driver can't even see how he's doing it. The last couple of times we've gotten him out of the car, he's managed to unbuckle at least one of the two straps.
Can you rec a convertible that he won't be able to escape from?
Re: Houdini-proof carseat help?
I can't really think of a good way to cover it up - my brain went to duct tape, but that would be a pain and I think he could peel it off anyway.
I'm thinking it's because we have such a low-end carseat; we decided to go cheap to have 3 of them, but obviously that wasn't a great decision if we can't keep him in the seat!
