Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I need a straw cup that isn't hard to suck.

Does that make sense? lol. We have the Munchkin ones and I just tried to drink from it and it is actually pretty difficult. No wonder J hates them. Can you recommend something a little easier? TIA!

We have the Tommee Tippee and the Nuby and same thing... I try and its hard so im just assuming that they suck differently (dirty mind go away).

  • There was one at Target, can't remember the name, but it had a 'Parent Assist' where you could squeeze and get it started.

Haven't tried it yet, but plan to as the hard suck ones aren't working for us either.

We use this and the Tommee Tippee straw cups.  Either seem to be very easy for him.

  • Anyone that isn't leak proof should be fine.  Someone said it's the lock on the leak proof ones that make the straw so hard.  We just got a couple insulated Evenflow ones on clearance at Sears that are just like drinking out of a regular straw.  They look like this, only with the straw top:

This.  DS could drink from this pretty easily at only 5-ish months.

  • Playtex... They have a valve but I just jam and twist the straw into it and test it myself until it is easy.

  • I'm glad you posted this. I tried her new cup this morning and just about burst a blood vessel trying to get anything out. (DH would now say, "You probably need more practicing sucking. I can help with that."

I bought the take and toss ones to try b/c they were on sale at kohls and I had coupon. I'll look up the playtex one now.
