Our wedding was right before DD#1started school so we decided instead of taking a long honemoon to take a short honeymoon to Catalina Island, CA but DH got kidney stones the night that we got married (right before we were getting ready to get in bed!) and we had to rush to th E.R. where he stayed over night and our honeymoon got canceled! If I had another chance to do it again I would go all out and go to Italy.

We went to St. Bart's a year and 1/2 after we were married. I call it our much delayed but anticipated HM. Between being a teacher and our finances after paying for our own wedding, we had to wait for the HM. We spent a week here and it was a once in a lifetime vacation. We went the last week in the season in August before the island basically closes for Sept. It was the most beautiful place I've ever been and the restaurants were all fabulous!!
WAS NOT my choice- DH was all over it. I am NOT a beachy person.
Where did you want to go instead? BTW- my sister is honeymooning in Tahiti this summer in one of those hut things that you PIP'd below. I'm so excited for her!
We spent 3 days in Miami and 4 days on a cruise to the Bahamas. I loved cruising and totally want to do it again. I'm much more of a beach person than dh so I really have to work on him hard to get another tropical vacation.

2 amazing weeks in Hawaii Island hopping, hoping to go back soon as we are DVC members and they are buliding a resort there. (Also we just saw "Just go with it" which was filmed in hawaii, gave us the itch some more )
We had originally planned to go to St. Lucia but had the opportunity to move to England right after we got married. We decided to scale back the honeymoon and put money toward the move and traveling once we were in the UK.
Charleston was beautiful and very romantic. We were there in May right before most of the tourists arrived. The food was amazing too!
Our honeymoon was two weeks. We got married in July and I hate really hot weather, so we decided to go north. We started with 2 days on the Maine coast (where we got married), spent one night back at our house (to regroup and pack), went to Vancouver for 3 days, and then took a 7 day cruise from Vancouver to Alaska. It was a wonderful trip.
We went to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica for a week and then spent a week in NYC. I loved the combo of relaxing beach and bustling city- we got the best of both worlds!
We went on a cruise out of NYC to Tortola, St. Thomas, and the Dominican Republic. Then we bid on a week long stay in Mexico at an Auction so we went there a few months later. Loved the cruise!!
We went on a 10 day cruise from NYC to the Eastern (I think) Caribbean. We were married in February so we left cold, snow and ice for warm beaches. It was fantastic.
7 nights on St. Lucia at a Sandals and 3 nights in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Not a fan of Sandals (although over all had a great time), loved our hotel in PR and want to go back someday (Hotel El Convento).
Ahhh, tropical vacation... someday we'll have one again!
We got married in July and took our honeymoon the following January. It was soooo nice to leave the snow and cold and spend a week in sunny Jamaica! We stayed at a Sandals. I'm hoping to do another all-inclusive tropical vacation - maybe for our 10-yr anniversary?!?
St. Pete for a week. It was a disaster though! Red Tide set in the day we got there (dead fish on the beach every day), we had a minor wreck (DH's fault), and I had a urinary tract infection the last 3 days.

Neither of us are the beachy type, we didn't want to travel too far since I was 14 weeks pregnant when we went on our honeymoon. We went to Disneyland for a week and San Fransisco on the way home.

We haven't taken ours yet. We were originally going to Savannah, GA (neither of us have been, and I LOVE historic towns) for five days, but postponed a trip due to unexpected wedding costs. We ended up renting a hotel room in our hometown (where we were married) for a few days before coming back to our current city. It turned out to be really nice though, because DH's brother and his wife had their baby two days after our wedding, and we were able to meet her.
We had planned to take a big one-year anniversary vacation instead of a honeymoon, but then we got pregnant less than three months after our wedding and are now expecting a LO three weeks before our anniversary! Maybe someday we'll end up taking that trip!

We stayed in Jamaica. Couples Ocho Rios for a week and it was fantastic! I loved the no kids rule, the casual environment and of course the all inclusive part of the whole week!!! We want to go back for our 10 year
Re: Where did you go on your Honeymoon?
Two glorious weeks in Oahu, Kauai and then a quick weekend in San Francisco on the way home.
Amazing. We fell in love with Kauai and yearn to go back. Oahu was nice too, but I don't feel the need to go back

We've been together five years and never once had a vacation, together and alone. Damn kids.
We spent a week in Charleston, SC.
