Stuff I never thought I'd spend money on...

I don't know why having a child has made me "ooh & ahh" over such random crap. Has this happened to anyone else?

My latest thing is getting cute wash clothes from etsy to wipe Sprout's face after meals. Yes, I *could* use our bath wash clothes, but where is the fun in that?!?  (currently I use our cloth napkins, but I'm not loving how the purees kind of stain some of them).

I never thought I'd spend $15 on 6 wash clothes to wipe mushed off food from my child's face.

  • LOL! After one too many  diaper change spraying incidents that transcended a covering cloth,  I am thinking about getting PeePee Tepees.

  • Well, I just bought DD some shoes b/c "they will keep her feet warm when we play outside".  Because, you know, a couple of pairs of socks wouldn't work.

Inside I know it's just b/c girl shoes are freaking adorable, and who cares if DD can't walk yet.

We bought PeePee TeePees before the LOs were born...IMHO, they didn't work that well b/c they didnt' stay on DS's "peepee". I'd save your money and just perfect getting the diaper pulled up real fast.:)

  • While I didn't spend money on it myself-- my LO got infant flip flops, multiple pink snow hats, fur boots and matching hat etc.  I marvel how someone is making big money out there on selling really cute, totally unnecessary baby stuff!

  • Amazon mom is what does it to me - I actually got suck pads for the ergo - I justified by figuring I would wash the ergo less and it would last longer...
  • I bought a valentines day bib and onesie for polliwog. He HATES onesies and screams bloody murder when I try to dress him in one. But it looked really cute on.

  • Boogie wipes...I never thought I would actually buy them,I mean, isn't a tissue just fine? But then I got them once and they are SO soft and he doesn't scream quite as much, and since they are a little wet they get the "crusties" off too...ahem, yes, I am trying to justify the ridiculousness...

Someone gave us a pack of these, and I was surprised that they worked pretty well. I even tried one on myself when I had a cold to see if they worked better than a tissue, and they did. Now I need to figure out how to DIY some.
