Baby's 1st eye dr/dentist appts?

Trying to figure out health benefit selections for next year.  Baby will turn 1 yr old in November next year.  Do i need them on the vision and dental plans or will the pedi cover this?

    I just had a dentist appointment yesterday and asked when a child should be brought in for a check up.  The hygenist said around 2 years old.  I'm not sure about vision.
