  One of the showers I went to recently had kid DVD's as the prizes! I won 'Coraline'. They weren't the newest DVD's, but they were in the $7-$10 range from Target/Walmart. But it depends on your budget.

  
  I also like getting lotion or a candle. I use those all the time at my own house. (And they are easy to regift if the winner doesn't want to keep them).

  At my shower, we did one game and the prize was a gift card to dunkin donuts...and yes, I know, not everyone likes coffee. But even if you don't like coffee you could get a muffin, bagel or hot chocolate.

  Either a gourmet treat (chocolate, biscotti etc.) or a $5.00 gift card to starbucks of DD are always good.  Every time I win a cande or lotion, it's a smell I hate so it goes right in the garbage...

  We are doing gift sets of a wine bottle and 2 glasses or a bag of coffee with a travel mug.

  i think $5 gift cards to places like DD, starbucks, subway, target, bath and body works etc. are the way to go.

  The showers I've been to/ hosted have done mugs, lotions, candles, frames and lottery scratch offs.  The Scratch offs are different so a lot of people like them.
