1st Trimester

eating so poorly and feel guilty about it

bagels, pizza galore ... i know i need to eat better - but i really just can't. Suggestions? anyone else like this?

  • Me! I'm trying to always throw in some fruit or vegetables, but I don't feel like I'm doing so great.  Plus, on the days I'm sick, I just eat whatever I can!

  • I'm right there with you! I keep thinking I know I should eat something healthy, but all I want is anything and everything that is horrible for me. Unfortunately though I'm just starting to get to the nausea. Today nothing has sounded good and I had to force down some lunch, because I didn't feel hungry at all.

  • I was just thinking about this!  I've tried to drink tons and tons of water (it helps if I drink it through a straw for some reason!) and I try and have at least a few fruits and vegetables a day.  But there are only certain things I can even stomach! 
  • Me too! but I have always been a junk food eater so it's hard to change my habit.  I have been trying to eat more fruit through out the day and drink lots of water.  I too found it easier to drink water through a straw. 
  • I'm doing just plain horrible. I didn't know Ramen had MSG and I was eating it like there wasn't a tomorrow. And on top of that all I want is pasta. I can't stand the smell of meat much less the sight of it. I am drinking V8 for the veggies. and fruit is a hassle. :( 

  • Right now I'm not really worrying about it. With constant nausea I'm just happy if I can eat anything.

    I am getting annoyed with eating dinner out all the time because I can't stand the smell of anything cooking (especially meat).

     Hopefully this will pass soon because I love to cook.

  • Same here...I try not to worry about it but it's tough. I was a pretty darn healthy either before BFP, but now almost nothing sounds good to me. I'll pack a lunch for work, but when lunch rolls around it makes me sick. DH will make dinner, bring it to me, and then I'll eat two bites. I feel awful about it...the only things that have sounded good are carbs (pasta, bagels, etc), olives (Weird, right?) and ice cream. UGH. Can't wait to get my appetite back!
