Breaking my promise :(

You know how I told you all that I was going to be really boring from here until April? Yeah, sorry about that. Due to my rising BPs, the peri is giving me steroid shots today and tomorrow to help the boys' lungs develop. He really thinks that with my status changing so quickly that I have a very good chance of delivering these boys within the next 7 days.

I would love to keep them in longer and I'm still going to try. Right now, they're doing absolutely perfect. It's just me that's not doing well. The OBs are confident that by this point, the boys will survive past delivery and they'll have a 95% chance of surviving without any long term complications. FX that they stay put longer than another week!

Oh my goodness I am saying all sorts of prayers for you. I know you wanted them to keep baking for quite awhile. I really hope it works out so you can go longer. Please keep us updated and know that we are definitely thinking of you and those boys.

T&P are with you. DH was born at 24.5 weeks and has no lasting complications - except that one optical nerve is bigger than the other and it throws off the glocoma test when he sees a new doctor. He was a littel over 1 lb. Hope both babies are doing well and things for you stabalize soon!

My friend delivered twins last year at exactly 28 weeks and both babies are doing beautifully. On target for growth and development.

They were in the NICU for almost 2 months, but it was basically feeding and growth issues.

She went into PTL at 27 weeks and they held off delivery for a week. She was able to get both steriod shots before delivery and believes that really helped.

I hope your boys stay put a littel while longer and your health issues resolve themself. Fingers crossed for you and the boys.
