  as long as i want him.  he and his dad are partners.  problem is that he only "pays himself" when he's actually at work so every day he's off is a day wer'e not making money.  on the other hand, his dad will give us a nice gift for the baby's savings account and his step mom will be cookign up a storm for us i'm sure.  it's really really really nice to know though that i can have him for as long as i need him and at the drop of a hat after that!  our plan is for him to be home a week and then for my mom to come.

  hubby is planning on taking 2 weeks off, but mainly because Im having twins and its going to be a planned C section. Good luck to all you upcoming mommies!

  My DH gets 2 weeks paid paternity leave and then can use his vacation time if he wants.  He is planning on just taking the 2 weeks and we will try to schedule him taking another week of regular vacation in the summer (June or July) for a camping trip as a family (yes I plan on taking my newborn camping and backpacking!).

  My husband gets 10 days paternity leave, and it doesn't start until we leave the hospital, so he'll be taking that. He also has unused vacation time but he works so close (down the road close) that he might not need to take anymore than that off right away and instead just come home for lunch breaks, etc.

  My husband gets 6 weeks at 60% of full pay, so he is taking 4 weeks right after the baby is born, and then a week during the summer and the last week during Christmas time...

  I'll probably ask him to take 4-5 days off.  Since we'll be having the baby over the summer, he'll have pretty flexible hours (he usually works 3-11 P.M.), so I don't mind him working early on since he'll still be home the majority of the day.
