Just my opinion but I think bassinets are a waste of money. We wanted a PNP anyway so we just got one with a bassinet. It's the Graco Silhouette and I really like it. DS slept in it in our room for the first 4.5 months and it worked really well for us.

I just got this at Target on clearance for 84.98. I really like it.
I also have a Fisher Price Rock-n-play only b/c of all the positive reviews it got, It was cheaper than a bassinet, smaller than a PNP. If it works great, otherwise it was less than 50 bucks. It's realy portable too.
Honestly, if you are buying new I would get the cheapest one out there. My friend got the Graco travel crib I think and it was perfect and under $100. I had a pricy Arm's Reach one and I used it for all of 6 weeks. What a waste! I had a F&P Rock N Play Sleeper which we used for over 2 months in our living room for daytime naps and that was a way better investment. I did not want to use it overnight though because I wanted son used to laying flat for transfer to crib.
