where did you get your wall letters?

If your baby's name is on the nursery wall... where did you get your letters?

I want simple wooden letters, but can't find good ones anywhere. Michaels and similar craft stores only have one "font."

Our Michael's had a few different choices. But other places I saw them were Joann Fabric and Hobby Lobby (I don't know if they are national chains or not).

They haven't arrived yet, but we bought ours from CraftCuts.com. Lots of fonts, sizes, thicknesses, colors and your choice of wood or MDF.

You can get letters in any size, any font, ect from your local sign shop they can order them for you and even have them cut out of different materials. You could even design the letters in a font you love, and send them the file and they can have it done for you. You might pay a little more but the quality will be better and you will get exactly what you want. Same thing with the vinyl decals. My husband is in the sign/graphics bussiness. Feel free to PM if you get a quote and I can tell you if it is a fair price or not. Hope this helps!

Our JoAnn's Fabric had a ton of fonts and sizes. My SIL knows which ones to pick up since we wont know the name for sure until Baby gets here.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: If size of the letters is really important to you, make sure you check how the website you order from measures their letters. A LOT I found measure from the largest letter or base it on a capital "A" in your font or something like that, then all the lower case letters are smaller. I got 14" letters, so my capital "L" would have been the largest and the rest quite smaller. The site I got them from, woodenletters.net (and it looks like they have a few different names/sites out there) measure based on your lower case letters. So my letters are truly 14" tall and the capital is even bigger. Just an fyi...

craftcuts.com also. They have TONS of fonts and you can choose from pretty much any size and thickness. They have them unfinished or already painted.

Just got my delivery today and I love them! Just what I wanted and really quick delivery, even though I selected standard delivery.

I know you said you wanted plain wooden letters but should you decide the painting/decorating part is too time consuming (like I did! ha!) we ordered ours from this etsy store. I was able to request our nursery colors and this is the picture from her store. I love it!
