Hi!!
This is actually my first post here. i have been following this group since I found out I was pregnant after my first cycle of IVF. Dr. said I am totally healthy, but because of male factor we had to go the IVF route. After our first cycle, we became pregnant!!!! We were so lucky. Out of the 14 eggs only 3 fertilized and only 1 of them was perfect (the 3rd didn't make it). We decided to put that one in and another that was still developing. Last week I spotted some light pick discharge and called the RE, who said that it is ok as long as it wasn't heavy bleeding like a period. This morning at 1:30 I woke up to go to the bathroom and felt menstrual cramps on and off along with bright red bleeding. It wasn't a lot of blood though. I decided to go to the ER to get everything checked out. After 8 hours, they told me that I was going through a possible miscarriage. I decided to race to my RE and they confirmed I had a natural miscarriage this morning. I was 5.4 weeks pregnant and this was my first pregnancy. I guess that I am writing this to find some support and advice going forward. This has been the hardest day of my life. Congrats to all the ladies who are due in October. I wish you all the luck in the world for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. Enjoy every awful pregnancy symptom, I would give anything to have those symptoms again. Hope my baby will arrive in 2011.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't have much advice, but I know each of the Loss boards have been a great support system for ladies who have gone through what you're going through. Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss and TTC After a Loss are the ones I hear mentioned most often.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

The description of your loss, as well as the gestation you were, reminds me very much of my experience. I have no problem discussing it, if you'd like. You can PM me and page me here, on PgAL, or on TTCAL (if tickers bother you, go to TTCAL) to go look for it.

I can tell you from personal experience that the Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss Board is a great place to go if you are looking for women who are, or who have recently, experienced what you are going through. Once you are feeling ready to move forward, the TTC After Loss Board is wonderful.

Please know that you are not alone in going through this. There are many women who have walked in your shoes, or are in them now. We'll gladly support you all you need.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. ((hugs)) I went through a miscarriage back in November and know how painful it is. Although the pain doesn't ever go away, I promise you that it does get easier. I recommend that you check out the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board; the ladies on there can offer you a tremendous amount of support and advice. When you're ready to try again, the TTC After a Loss board is great. Feel free to PM me if you like.

I am so sorry to hear about your lose, and so glad that you decided to post. I suffered a loss in October and I found great support and comfort on the TTCAL board. The first few days/weeks are very tough - what I found worked for me was finally reaching out to a few people close to me. I had kept the loss to myself and that made for a long few weeks feeling like I was alone and didn't have anyone to talk to, it was only after I reached out to a few close friends that I started to realize this was more common than I thought and I did have hope.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went through a miscarriage in December '09. It was my first pregnancy. The pain does leave. It takes a long time but it does. Keep hope. Thoughts and Prayers.

Through both of my losses, the loss boards here have been wonderful for helping me stay sane and grieve more openly than what I felt able to do IRL. When you are ready, the MC/PL board and TTCAL are both wonderful places to get support and hear from other women who are in similar situations.

Again, so sorry for what you're going through. It is so unfair and hurts so incredibly bad.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost my first pregnancy, back in November '09, and my DH and I have struggled with IF. The combination of the two is devastating. The first few months after my miscarriage were awful, but the support of my friends on TTCAL helped immeasurably. I also was very open about it with my close friends and family, and that helped too. Finally, I found a therapist (who I still see), and that also helped.

Life will get better, one day at a time. Good luck to you.
