Just curious (re: FFFC)

Does anyone read them when they get super long??

I only got to about the 40th confession and then had to skip the rest so that I could post mine because Isabelle will be up any minute. I was able to read the last 5 when I posted though. So does anyone go back and catch the last of them?

P.S. and I was right, the wee one is up, so this is a post and run.

  • Yup.  The only FFFC posts I don't read are the ones that get super long with the ginormous quotes.

  • I hate the huge quote things, so I scroll past all of those. When it gets really long, I just cruise through them all and maybe stop if something catches my eye.

I am jealous of those who know how to correctly quote so that it doesnt get out of hand. Any time I try to shorten the quote string it tells me no.
  • does everyone know how to shorten their quotes? We need a bump lesson. LOL

  • I read, maybe 10, then get board when everyone start quoting one another.
  • I almost always read them unless some stupid argument breaks out that I don't care about.

I always try to shorten the quotes so that they're not so long. All that really needs to be quoted is the latest response.

    Yep.

  • I read the first few pages and the last.. and ignore the 15 quote box conversations.

Granted I can never think of one when the thread is small.. only when it's already gotten huge (Thats what she said!)

  • I read them unless it is a really stupid argument I don't care about.  They get started too early for me though, so I'm usually late to the game.

  • This is why I've been starting evening editions of threads actually ... I like the "games" but it's way too had for me to keep up during the day. The evening ones stay much more manageable plus I don't feel guilty wasting time on TB since my kids are in bed. To answer your original question though, no I don't read the whole thing when they get so long.

Me too. It's not that effin hard to condense them and cut some of the text but keep the handles of the posters in the quote.

And as an evening poster, I love your evening editions!
