Acid reflux is a fun pg side effect- has this happened to anyone?

So every night I take a Zantac cause I have this terrible acid reflux.   Very burpy and it burns my throat.  Last night we were in bed and I was trying to get this burp to come up and out (sorry TMI) and it just wouldn't.  DH tells me to sit up a little more to see if that would help.    I do and I'm sitting there trying to get this stupid burp out.   All of a sudden- it does come up along with a bunch of other stuff.   OMG- so gross!   I covered my mouth with my hand and ran into the bathroom and just burped/coughed into the sink.   It was the weirdest thing.   It wasn't vomit, since I wasn't nauseous it was just spit up and it was chunky (very TMIsorry).   I sure hope this doesn't happen tonight.

    I would wake up at night, doing the same thing.  The only thing that has worked for me is protonix.  The Zantac just wasn't cutting it!

    Zantac was a joke while I was pg, the only thing that helped me was Prevacid. And yes I've had that happen to me too, it's nasty!

    I was taking 2 Zantac/day and still having bad reflux.  I slept sitting up for basically the second half of my pregnancy.  One of the things I hated the most about my pregnancy!

    Oh man....don't remind me. Zantac didn't help much. TUMS was better, and my OB recommended Prevacid (but I found that out a little too late). Sorry you are dealing with it! Hang in there. Thank goodness it is temporary!

    I had major issues with it the first time around and this time too. I'll fall asleep for about 15 min and wake up choking on acid/bile/puke and have to run into the bathroom to spit it out.

    The nurse at the OB wrote me a prescrip for something, but it was going to be $95, so I called yesterday to get something cheaper and still haven't heard back.

    Not fun!
