I'm a first time mom and am starting my crib shopping. I'm looking at this Graco crib from Walmart (
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Graco-Shannon-4-1-Convertible-Crib-with-Mattress-BONUS-Changing-Table-Espresso/15715461), and it mentions that the crib will support a child no bigger than 50 pounds and the changing table will support a child no larger than 30 pounds. Is it likely that my son will outgrow the table/crib before I need to stop using it? Or is that fairly normal for cribs/changing tables? I have no idea how many pounds he'll be when it's time for him to move to a toddler bed.
Re: Question about Baby's Weight
im a first time mommy too... my nieces stayed under 30 lbs until they were 1 1/2- 2 years old i think.
My son weighed 30 lbs at 20 months and he's still in diapers. We use our changing table multiple times per day. I might suggest a different one if the weight limit for that is 30 lbs.
The 50lb weight limit on the crib sounds fine to me though. I know my coworker's 5.5 yo son is 50lbs and he's big for his age. Clearly he's no longer in a crib or a toddler bed.
I just stopped using our changing table a few months ago. DS was 32 lbs.
I wouldn't worry about the weight at all at this point. You'll likely be switching that out at the 30ish lb stage anyway.
