I was doing laundry and I think a little flake of dried detergent got into Jacks eye. He always wants to be where I am, and was standing beneath me when I unscrewed the lid. He started crying and rubbing his eye, it was so sad. I flushed it with water, then called the pediatrician, who transferred me to poison control, who told me to flush it again, then take him to the pediatrician to make sure there are no abrasions.
I feel so bad. He is never even allowed in the laundry room and thought he would be fine just standing at my feet for a second.
He seems fine now, his eye isnt even red, but I did schedule at appointment for him today to get it checked out.
Ugh. I hate days like this where I feel like a completely incompetent mother.
