Success after IF

If you had a lot of ultrasounds...

What did you do with the printouts? I had a TON for my pregnancies Nolans mostly, but Really a LOT with Gwen Like, more than necessary/can fit in her baby book, and I have heard that the paper they are printed on does not let the image last forever anyway. Some of Nolan's are fading.

So, do you keep all of yours, or just the important/firsts?

Do I sound terrible?

Re: If you had a lot of ultrasounds...

  • I photographed them and then put them in a baby book for him. I also have the originals in there, but I know those might fade.

  • I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with all the images. We have scanned quite a few of them but haven't organized them at all.

  • Great questions.  I just have a pile -- not a great system! :)

  • We scanned them all so we have hard copies saved on the computer. I have a pic from their 20w u/s in a frame (you can see Hannah's already looks a bit faded) and I put a few in each baby book. I have the rest stored in their baby box.

  • I have all of them in an evelope in her special box. My mom kept boxes for us that had things like art projects, report cards, etc that she couldn't bring herself to throw away so I think I'll do the same.

I have a ton of u/s pictures seeing as I never went more than 3 weeks between scans and got at least 2 pictures with every u/s.
  • I scanned all of them and printed them out on photo paper and saved them to disk.  Seriously, I had like 11 ultrasounds.  My favorites went in her baby book.
  • I'm not sure what to do with all of them that I have. I've had a sonogram at every appt, but 2. Plus, I have DVDs from each visit to the mfm. Some of the printed pictures are awful and you can't tell what you're looking at. Would I be a bad mom if I just threw those away?

  • I couldn't throw them away, but that's just me.  She's my one and only, so I feel the need to save EVERYTHING from my pregnancy.

  • With the twins I had a total 24 ultrasoundes but must have over 100 pictures from it. I think with Brady I had 18ish! I have them in photo album for each baby. The ones of the twins were the are shots of them on the same image we copied and put one of each in their albums!

  • I scanned them in and included them in a pregnancy journal I had printed. I know someone here scanned them and printed them in one of those small photobooks that shutterfly is always sending coupons for
  • I made a pregnancy book. I took a belly shot each week and put the u/s pic along with the shot of my belly and wrote what happened at that appointment, or measurements etc.

  • I had 1 u/s, sometimes 2, a week starting at 6 months pregnancy and on going until a day before his birth. I kept them all. I know they will most likely fade, I just feel bad throwing them out until they do. I have a box with everything I do not want to part with. By the time he is 18 it will be huge I am thinking. lol
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • I scanned all of mine onto the computer and then printed them on photo paper. I also took belly shots and made a pregnancy scrapbook with all of the images. I had an u/s every other week until 29 weeks and then twice a week after that so lots of pics.

  • I have 2 ultrasounds a week.  I love having the photos, but the quantity is crazy!  Right now they're all in an envelope.  I'll probably scan a few, but otherwise just put the envelope in each LO's "box."
  • we're keeping them, but they're just stuffed in a folder labeled "aaron"--i'm not going to have time to put together baby books until all of the kids are in college. =)

  • I had an US a day for 2 months plus a ton more, so we scanned them, printed them out, and put them in an envelope in a scrapbook.
