Successful trimming with only minor incident

I was trying to go by the 'if you don't see it, then forget it' motto, but I just couldn't do it anymore! So off to the bathroom I go with my trusty trimmer. I was doing great until I saw blood on the trimmer. I pull out the little mirror and recognize that not only do I have varicose veins down there, I cut one of them UGH. The bleeding stopped quickly and it doesn't hurt. I told DH this and he said, "and why didn't you ask for help?" I guess it is just one of those things that I want to be able to do by myself for as long as I can, but maybe I need to give in. Oh another wonderful joy of pregnancy, it's a good thing I already really love this baby!

    lol I tried the mirror and trimmer tactic. It was trickier than I expected but I didn't draw blood. It will take me a bit to lay down my pride and ask DH for help, but I'm sure that day will come.

    I hear you, it's getting harder to do the peek over the belly trimming routine. I was going to ask my doctor if it would be ok to use Nair but I forgot.

    Ouch! That doesn't sound good! My husband alway said he would do it...uh no thanks!! I just couldn't let him. I always just try to pull my stomach up and just feel. It has worked for 3 pregnancies now ;)

    this reminds me of yesterday sitting in the Dr's office with my bf waiting for the dr to come in... i whispered " i hope he doesnt have to go down there today!!" and he goes "i know its pretty patchy!!!" LOL lets just say its a lot of guess work!

    I have learned to master the feel and go trim method. It works 95% of the time!

    I haven't waxed since the getting pregnant.  I used to go regularly.  I really want to but am so embarrassed about the discharge.

    It is getting very difficult for me. I know I will only be able to do it a few more weeks. If you can handle it getting waxed is not that bad.(normally) However, pain sensors seem to work in overdrive during pregnancy. I don't really want "help" with that so I guess I will have to start going back to get waxed.
